Creativity and innovation

This term our learning was based around creativity and innovation. As part of our learning from last year we decided to make tui bird feeders so that we could help bring them back into our environment. The children had to investigate bird feeders and then design their own. We experimented with water pressure and how it would work on our feeders. We created our feeders and painted them incorporating native flowers which tuis like to encourage them to come to our feeders.

Making 10

Room 7 are ace practitioners! We are learning to solve addition and subtraction problems by partitioning (this means we split and join numbers to make 10) However before we can start to partition, we need to be able to instantly recall our bonds to 10. Like this...
