Play

Over the last few weeks Mrs Fulford has been reading about the importance of play and how it encourages our minds to learn, lets us explore our world and helps develop our oral language skills. Today after a couple of weeks of collecting fruit boxes some of the boys created an awesome box fort. It went from a mansion to castle. The boys used lots of different skills to complete this fort...negotiating, communicating, perseverance to name a few. They also learnt a new word... sturdy. Our fort needed to be a bit more sturdier. Here are some photos of the progress.

Fun day

On Wednesday middle school had an end of year celebration. A fun day! There were 8 different activities over the course of the day and all the children were split into 8 groups so that there were several children from each class in each group. We had a Lego play room, ice-blocks and chill time, playground, the sandpit, Mr Martin crazy games, water play, a treasure hunt and best of all .... nerf war! Look at the smiles.

New class

Yay the new playground has opened, and we are finally back in a real classroom but it is NOT room 7! We have moved out of the library and into Mrs Fulford's new class in room 24. This is a bit sad and happy as Mrs Fulford spent 10 years in room 7 but she also gets to move into new open space and try some new things. Here are some photos of our new playground.
