The moon
As part of our learning pathway topic about space, Room 24 learnt about the moon this week during writing.
We watched this youtube clip from National Geographic and wrote down the key words we heard to remind us about the important information.
At the end of this session we re-watched the video and ticked the key words as we heard them.
On Tuesday we used these key words to complete the 10 word challenge. These were the 10 key words we used.
Moon 4.5 billion years
debris dust and rock
China craters
20th July 1969 asteroids
5th largest meteoroids
Here are some of our stories we wrote using the key words.
The Moon
The moon was formed 4.5 billion years ago. The moon is as big as China. The moon is covered with dust and rocks. The moon is the 5th largest moon in our solar system. The moon has deep holes which are called craters. What caused the craters were meteoroids and asteroids. The moon was made from debris. On 20th of July 1969 a man went to the moon.
