That was Waiheke!

This week our writing is a poem all about the amazing time we had at Waiheke Island.

Remember when I went on the ferry with my friends. I heard the water splashing on the boat. I felt happy in the boat. That was Waiheke!
Remember when we went to Waiheke. I had fun with my friends in the water. I was jumping over the waves. I heard the waves crashing. That was Waiheke!

Remember when we went to Waiheke I saw a fish in the water. I saw the fish changing colours. It was changing to blue. That was Waiheke!
Remember when we went to Waiheke I made a dinosaur in the sand. That was Waiheke!

Remember when I was playing in the sand on the beach at Waiheke. I made a sand castle and Mrs Fulford took a photo of it. I was happy. That was Waiheke!

Remember when we went to Waiheke on the ferry. I saw lots of smoke coming out from the boat like a burst of flames. I heard lots of seagulls crying and saying “screech!” Their talk was very painful in my head. I felt very energised from the boat. That was Waiheke!
Remember when we were at the beach. I saw the waves coming up and rolling through the sea and plopping on me. I heard children giggling in the water when they were swimming. I felt freezing cold in the water. That was Waiheke!

Remember when we went to Waiheke. I saw a seagull on the ferry. I saw the sky tower. I felt happy. That was Waiheke!
Remember when we went to Waiheke. I went swimming in the water. I dove under the water. That was Waiheke!
