Poem of the week

Every week Room 24 has a new poem. We practise reading it, talk about the interesting vocabulary and then illustrate it in our poetry book.

This week our poem is by Jill Eggleton – Fussy Uncle Wunkle.

Fussy Uncle Wunkle says,

“It is very rude,

to slurp

and slop,

and drip

and drop,

and mess around

with food.”

Fussy Uncle Wunkle says,

“It’s not good at all,

to gobble

quick,

and lick

and flick,

your peas onto

the wall.”
